Welcome to our FAQ! Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about our handcrafted leather goods, our process, and our store policies.

What materials do you use for your leather goods?

We exclusively use premium, vegetable-tanned full-grain leather sourced right here in the USA. To ensure durability and a high-quality finish, all of our hardware—such as buckles, rivets, and snaps—is also locally sourced.

Where are your products made?

All of our pieces are carefully handcrafted in our small studio in Fayetteville, NY. Every item is crafted by a single artisan, A. Sahi. This guarantees meticulous attention to detail, consistency, and a level of authentic craftsmanship that you won’t find in mass-produced goods.

How long does it take to make each piece?

Production time varies depending on the size and complexity of the piece:

  • Smaller items (like wallets): Approximately 2–3 hours.

  • Larger items (like bags): Up to 3 days.

Note: Every single stitch is done by hand using a traditional two-needle method to ensure maximum strength and longevity.

Where do you ship from, and how long is delivery?

All orders ship directly from our studio in New York. Exact delivery times will depend on your destination address and the shipping method you select at checkout.

What if the item is defective or damaged?

We stand by the quality of our work. If your item arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately. We will work with you closely to repair, replace, or refund the item in accordance with our return policy.

All products are handcrafted with the utmost care. However, if you find the product is not what you expected and doesn’t meet your expectation; please don’t hesitate to contact me at support@sahinewyork.com to request for a refund or exchange. I would expect an item to be in an original unused condition and returned within 14 days from date of purchase. Proof of purchase (invoice) is required to proceed with your return/refund request.  

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or Credit Card Company to process and post the refund too.

Shipping costs and credit card/paypal fees are non-refundable.

Exchanges

We happily accept exchanges for unused items, but you are responsible for shipping costs to and from. Please reach out to us at support@sahinewyork.com and we’ll help you out.

Please note we do not accept returns that are custom made or personalized.

Faulty or incorrect items

Firstly, accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience caused, we handle every order with great care. If there are any problems with your order please contact us at support@sahinewyork.com. Please include proof of purchase and a photo of the item along with a brief description. Once we receive your email, we will look into the situation and respond within 1- 2 business days.

Caring for your leather

Caring for leather is essential for those who love the look and feel of their leather goods after purchase. If left untreated over time, leather can dry out and crack. Listed below are some of my recommendations.

  • SURFACE DIRT: Most surface dirt can be removed by gentle wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
  • SCUFFS: Lightly rub the marks with your fingers. Often the natural oils in the leather will help buff out small scuffs.

Leather Conditioner: A light coating of pure neatsfoot oil or pure mink oil once or twice a year. Please avoid other conditioners that aren’t “pure” and are likely to contain petroleum-based oils which can be harsh to leather and may even weaken the strength of the thread over time.
